Usher's Island is an easy 20 minutes by boat to Bocas Town and is located centrally within the archipelago, no more than thirty minutes by boat to almost any location of interest.

The land is surrounded by a thin band of mangroves to the north and east and by much thicker stands of mangroves to the west and south. The mangroves are an important habitat for many sea creatures and birds, and as such are protected in the archipelago.
The island has three docks, the main one being at the north-west corner of the island in a small protected bay that looks toward Bocas Town. This main dock is fully covered with a large, 10' x 20' platform. It is a relaxing hang-out spot as it gets lovely breezes from the north and the waters of the bay have plenty of interest to see - there is an eagle ray that lives there, and a turtle has also been spotted. There are a couple of small reefs off the main dock that provide superb snorkeling.
There are two further docks ideal for launching kayaks, for swimming or for loading construction materials onto the island.
A recently completed helipad provides further access to the island.
There is a large 12' x 18' concrete block bodega (storage shed) near to the rear dock, built on a 24' x 24' concrete slab. This was used to store all building materials for the house, and now acts a a large secondary storage area.
The island has been planted with coconut trees (many mature), almonds, noni, avocado, mango and papaya. There are also banana trees, sugar cane, yukka, passion fruit and egg laying hens. There is plenty of scope to make this a fully sustainable island.
The property will be left fully furnished and there are many extras, including a power boat with engine, all sorts of tools and equipment, household items, internet equipment, vhf radio, large screen projector system and more.
