This beautiful and completely refurbished complex is located in a popular breezy hill side gated community mid way between Sosua and Cabarete on the Dominican North Coast. While being beautiful, quiet, private and secure, it is only minutes from world class beaches and water sports activities. The custom turnkey resort consists of 4 one bedroom pool side bungalows, 2 separate cottage studios, outdoor kitchen, separate workshop, laundry area and free form pool. A significant amount of additional land is available for expansion. Bungalows come tastefully furnished in a Caribbean theme and include everything that is required to operate as a short term stay apartment hotel which can sleep up to 12. It can be easily operated as a long term stay, bed and breakfast, family compound or corporate retreat. No extras or changes are required in order to change the business model. Resort marketing system includes listings on several effective vacation rental websites, an exclusive property website site, YouTube channel and Facebook pages. This market system is included with the purchase.
Currently, the studios are being used for office and gardeners quarters. However, they can be used for extra accommodation for friends, generate additional income or to house the gardener and the addition of a live in maid. Each of the upgraded kitchens include granite counter tops, new full size appliances, variety of new small electrical appliances and sufficient new cutlery and dishes to serve 4. Bathrooms have been upgraded with coralina counter tops, glass shower partitions and floor to ceiling earthen tone tiles. Private pool side patios are supplemented by comfortable bamboo furniture and offer complete pool views. A new free form pool with waterfall is kept sparkling clean with a solar powered pool pump, sand filtration system and solar water purifier. A second pool pump is used for vacuuming the pool or as a backup for the filtration system. Very few chemicals are required. In addition, very little electricity from the local utility is required to run the pool.
The gardens contain producing coconut, mango, banana and avocado trees. A variety of palms and flowering shrubs give color and provide additional privacy. A separate covered patio area adjacent to the outdoor kitchen provides an area for communal dining and bar. There is no water utility bill. The resort has a completely self reliant water system. Water is supplied by an indoor well and 2,200 gallon cistern which are located and accessed from inside the workshop. Hot water is supplied by a solar hot water system. The only water costs are for bottled drinking water. The electrical system is supplemented by an inverter and battery system that provides electricity 24/7 in the event of power failures. Security is provided by gated community access and guards that patrol the entire community 24/7. The property itself is also gated and contains a dusk to dawn perimeter security lighting system which is supplemented by a series of motion lights.
A 2004 Mitsubishi Montero Limited with low mileage can be included in the purchase for an additional fee. This vehicle seats 7 and has been used to shuttle clients to and from the airport which is located 15 minutes away. It also can be used to generate additional income by providing transportation for clients to and from attractions and events. Additional income by way of commissions is generated from tours, attractions and events from contracts provided by local tour operators. These contracts are included in the purchase price. After a day of seeing what this wonderful place has to offer, our brand new suites will be most refreshing. Our bungalows surround one half of our free form pool that is equipped with enough pool toys to keep both the young and young at heart entertained for hours. Comfortable loungers are available for those who would like to relax in the shade or work on their tan in the sun.
We try to be as sensitive to the environment as we can. Our pool pump is solar powered and the water is kept sparkling clean with the same solar powered technology that was originally developed by NASA. Even your hot water is heated by the sun! We also have a backup inverter system to keep your suite lit up 24 hours a day if the power ever goes out.

You enter your retreat through a private poolside patio. The patio has a Caribbean theme with bamboo privacy screens and furniture. It is a wonderful place to relax over your favorite wine that is being kept cool by the terracotta wine cooler that we supply with each room. While sitting on the patio, you will be in full view of the pool and can listen to the coconut and palm trees rustle in the tropical evening breeze while watching the sun go down.

Our community, Lomas Mironas, is a large gated community that has many international residents. The gently sloping hillside ensures that there is always a cool sea breeze, providing a comfortable climate all year round.

Cabarete is a small, laid-back Caribbean beach village. It's a perfect tropical vacation spot. With its charming, hip ambiance and a combination of relaxed and adventurous lifestyles, most visitors can barely resist the spontaneous temptation of extending their stay and just hang around the place for another while, and even move here permanently like we did.
One of the biggest sports on the North Coast is surfing. Cabarete also hosts the World Kite Surfing Championships every year. The area is well known as a world class kite surfing destination and has been ranked as the world's best. The natural conditions make Cabarete a preferred beach by kite surfers the world over. Several kite surfing schools are located right on the beach for those who want to perfect their skills or take up this extreme sport.
Diving is also very popular near Sosua. In this area you will find reefs, canyons, shipwrecks, and gardens. Average water temperatures are about 80 degrees, and dive depths are usually 50 to 130 feet. The area of Playa Grande, about an hour and a half away, also features the Gri Gri lagoon for snorkeling. A colorful historical story of one shipwreck is the Concepción. The North Coast tossed this Spanish galleon into the Silver Banks about 60 nautical miles from Puerto Plata. The ship carried a cargo of freshly minted silver coins. An American with British support recovered about 69,000 pounds of it in 1689. It was not until 1979 that an American teamed up with the Dominican government to recover tons of silver that remained (they split the findings 50/50).
During the first 3 months of each year thousands of humpback whales migrate to the waters of the Dominican Republic each winter to mate and give birth. One of these gathering places is Samana Bay. More than 1,500 humpbacks visit the bay, with as many as 300 present at any given time during mating season. The World Wildlife Fund considers Samana Bay one of the best places in the world to watch whales. It offers something for everyone—the outer bay is where you might find aggressive males competing for the favors of willing females, and the sheltered inner bay is one of the most important humpback nurseries in the world.
Puerto Plata is the ideal location for a great sport fishing vacation. Deep sea fishing, great boats, great gear and great service from friendly English speaking crews is what you'll find here. The catch: Blue Marlin July - September, White Marlin April - June, Mahi Mahi October - March, Wahoo October - January, Sailfish October - March.
This is a tour that should not be missed during your stay in Puerto Plata. Located on the top of Mount Isabel this cable car offers you the beautiful panoramic ocean view and surrounding areas of Puerto Plata. It is one of the picturesque and most impressive excursions that can obtain a tourist upon visiting the Dominican Republic. On top of the mountain you will find botanical gardens, a statue of Christ (similar to the one in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), a restaurant and several souvenir shops. You will also enjoy the breathtaking views of Puerto Plata and the surrounding ocean.
