From POP to Sosua, through Cabarete and then to Sabaneta. At the big fork in the road entering Sabaneta de Yasica, take the right turn towards Moca and Jamao. Continue for approx. 4 miles through the villages noting Cuesta Barosa which is the village prior to ours. Enter Pata de Gallina (Chicken Foot) and as you approach the sharp left hand bend out of Pata de Gallina take the track on the right (sign towards La Catalina) there is the old winery building on the right hand side (now converted for cock-fighting I believe!) and Ana's mini supermercado on the left. Its a bit rough from there onwards but fine with any high wheelbase vehicle.
Follow the track about 1/2 mile or so passing a number of Dominican houses and take the FIRST track on the left – there is a small wooden sign with an arrow saying HH (Hacienda de Henderson) nailed to the tree (you need to look out for it carefully as it is very rustic and not obvious). You will see a rough concreted part of the track as it goes up the hill. You then need to go 9/10th of a mile up our track - you will pass the local graveyard on your right as you take the right hand bend. Further up there is a sharp right hand bend over the brow of the hill when you will feel as if you are descending into nowhere but the track continues safely! You will pass a number of wooden built Dominican houses on your left hand side and eventually you will see our peach coloured 'gringo' house on your right and see our big brown and bronze gates with a large HH on them, i.e. Hacienda de Henderson!!!


Situated in the foothills of the mountain off the road from Sabaneta de Yasica towards Jamao.
