Operating as a commercial venture the main estancia house has six large bedrooms, five with en–suite bathrooms plus fireplaces. There are a further two small bedrooms. The wonderful living room with its huge fireplace has gorgeous views directly over the Argentine pampas.
There is a further building called La Casa Rosada, which has four bedrooms all with small kitchens, bathrooms and wood burning stoves. The estancia has three other houses of various sizes for staff.. There are two huge barns, a chapel and a good-sized workshop and other out- buildings. The swimming pool is an excellent size with patio and shower.
This unique estancia is set in 40 hectares of gaucho land (120 acres) and is mostly all newly fenced. The land is excellent for cattle grazing or planting. There are corrals for horses and a wood with eucalyptus trees (perfect for logs).
On the property are excellent underground water sources in the area and the house is supplied water from underground springs. The property is very private. It is set back a good distance from the road and with the main house hidden by trees of the woods privacy and peace is guaranteed. However, it is near enough to the charming local gaucho town of Tapalque where there are all the facilities that a provincial town has to offer.
La Margarita has been successfully run as a commercial venture to receive guests for the past 25 years. It has been owned and run by the current English owner for 10 years who purchased from the original owners.
It has an excellent track record on Trip Adviser and is very favourable mentioned in Rough Guide, Lonely Planet and Time Out amongst other publication and is regularly written about in national newspapers and magazines.
It was the chosen location for a national film Salome y el Forastero (Salome and the Woodkeeper) set in the pampas three years ago and has been used for various modelling shoots. This Monday (12/05/14) TV channel America is coming to do some filming in the estancia for a programme they are doing on tourism in the area.

here are genuinely tremendous opportunities in the area for growth. There is a hot water springs project being built just 10 kilometres from the estancia and is due to start operating within two years. Land prices are rising because of this and it will bring many tourists to the area.
