Gauting has an excellent infrastructure: The trains to Munich or Starnberg lake are only 4 min by foot from home (they go every 20 min) and you are in downtown Munich in 25 min or at lake Starnberg in 7 min. By car within a few min you are on the motorway A95 which will take you North to Munich in about 10 min or South to the surrounding attractions such as Murnau, Oberammergau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen or the highest peak of Germany, the Zugspitze.
