Located on the outskirts of the city of Ponta Delgada, from which it is about three kilometers, it is bordered to the north by the parish of Fajã de Cima, to the south and east by that of S. Roque and to the west by that of S. Pedro (urban).
Of little rugged soil, it is low and flat in its central space (hence the name of Fajã), from where only two hills stand out, the highest of which is called Pico da Abelheira, with 131 meters of altitude.
